Photographic Papers And Canvas

We use the following digital media for printing your art work and photo's:

Photo Paper

Art Paper

Canvas

Inks

We use the latest Epson 9800/9880 large format printer which provides the very best quality images. Epson inks promise excellent colour results and are colour fast for 75 years on colour and 100 years on black inks.

Stretched (mounted) Canvas

We only use high quality stretcher bars that have a profiled face to prevent contact areas on the face of the canvas print. We can offer two thicknesses of side profile up to 40mm.

Borders

As standard we print a canvas at full size with no border so that part of the image is seen on the side profiles, if you would like a white or coloured border then please specify this at the time of ordering.

Please be aware that when wrapping a canvas with a borderless print some of the print area will be lost when this is wrapped around the edges.

Canvas Care

Our canvas prints are treated with a protective varnish coating that protects against UV light and makes them water resistant; however, we strongly recommend you follow these general precautions:

  • Avoid hanging your canvas print in an area of strong natural daylight.
  • Canvas prints are intended for indoor use only.
  • If cleaning your canvas do not use any cleaning products or sprays.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture.

Sending us your Digital Images

You can send your images to us on a CD or you can email as an attachment with a maximum file size of 4MB.

Your images should be sent in the highest format possible in order to maintain image clarity, if your unsure then please feel free to send us the image along with the size that you require and we will advise on how the results should turn out. If you re-size the image on your computer and view at full pixel size then you should be able to identify the quality on screen yourself, it is also worth considering that a large canvas print will give a softer image due to the effect of printing on to a textured canvas.

We accept images in JPG, TIFF or Photoshop PSD formats at the highest file size possible with a maximum file size of 4MB when sending by email.

Aspect Ratios

This is the ratio of length to width on an image. When using images taken from a digital camera the aspect ratio is 1:1.3, our sizes are shown primarily in the 1:1.3 format and this means that any image sent to us in this ratio will not be cropped.

If you work in 'A' series paper sizes then the aspect ratio will be 1:1.4, this means that the image will need to be cropped in order to fit onto our standard print sizes. We recommend that you prepare your work before submitting it to us. If your unsure then just drop us a line on 1800 033 619.
