Framing Steps
Creating your own custom made picture frames is easy, just follow the steps below
1. Upload
You need to start by uploading the image you want to frame from your computer into the YourFramer website so that you can start to buid your frame around it. Simply click on 'choose file' which allows you to search for the image you want to use. Once you've found the right image click on 'upload file' and your image will be loaded into the YourFramer tool.
I need a mount and frame only for an image I have at home...
You can also place an order for a frame and mount only, without having an image printed through the Mount & Frame option at the start. Simply select a sample image (option B) and click NEXT. On the next page you enter the height and width required.
You are now ready for your next step.
2. Print
In order for us to print your image you need to let us know what size you'd like your image. First of all select the print format. YourFramer will recommend a suitable option for you.
Now select your Print Medium, ie photopaper. All printing is done on high quality photographic paper.
Select the size you want for your image. YourFramer will help you by telling you the quality of the print at the bottom of the box.
You are now ready to frame. Click NEXT.
3. Mount
The mount is the outer coloured border around the image. It is used to create a space between the image and the frame. The colour of the mount is meant to draw attention to the focal point of the image. YourFramer has a great selection of colours for you to choose from. The YourFramer tool has been designed to allow you to have a play with as many colours as you like to see which one best suits your image.
You can now also select the with of your mount. We recommend you use a minimum of 60mm. Using a larger mount can create a dramatic effect.
Have a play with double mounts too, the effects are great! We generally recommend you use light over dark (ie light at the top, dark at the bottom).

When you're happy with the mount you've selected click NEXT.
4. Frame
It's now time to choose your frame, or moulding as it's commonly known as. YourFramer has a large selection for you to choose from, from black to silver, gold, wood etc. Click on the style you think would best suit your image from the frame group. You can change the moulding as often as you like, just have a play!
If you hovver your mouse on 'detail' underneath each moulding you will find the exact dimensions.
Well done, you've created your own framed image! Click on NEXT to place your order.
5. Order
Now all that 's left to do is place your order. The total amount has been added up for you, all that's missing is the freight cost. This will be added in once we have your address details at the end. You will now be able to see the overall dimensions of your image and your frame.
